does nebody have ne clue to whats going on with myspace because its taking a rele long-time to load the page and its really going extremely slow i can't seem to bring up the page does ppl here know whats happing with myspace is up or down at this time at this min at this hour at this second or what yall could do is go to the vtunnel and try to get to myspace from there cause thats what i do sum-tymes ne good news or bads does anybody know whats going down with myspace or did we get hacked again i hope it is not the power again or terroists attacking us from iraq plz yall i need help cause i am getting mad bored here i have nothing to do but jus sit here and be bored to death man my bride is on there and i need to talk to her asap

wow myspace is popular...tom said that the servers are down due to the weather. it should be up shortly but he was having technical difficulities. we are all experiencing this so don't worry (trust me i'm prolly as addicted to it as you are lol) but it should be up shortly

MySpace Power Outage shuts down site

Myspace.com posted an announcement tonight at 6:40PM PST time that their data center had a power outage. Tom went on to post the following message:

"hey everyone! there's been a power outage in our data center. we're in the process of fixing it right now, so sit tight. hopefully we'll be back online within the hour. its 6:40pm PST now. wanna place a bet? -Tom"

There were many bets placed to Tom and he has lost since it is now 9:40PM PST

I remember earlier that Tom posted a bulliten stating power went out in a part of LA that had some of their servers and the backup power didn't work so they were having serious issues with some people's accounts and would be working on it throughout the day. Maybe they're either working on it or perhaps the power did go out again %26amp; their servers are down.

BTW, if nobody can get on and more than likely your bride isn't on there, don't you have her phone number or at least email?

MySpace.Com Goes Dark After Explosions Caused by Heat Related Power Outages

The record heat has caused power outages in many communities in the five county Greater LA area that is served by the Department of Water and Power (DWP) and Southern California Edison (SCE).

On Saturday, the overloaded electric circuits caused explosions near Santa Monica's Third Street Promenade. Two manhole covers near the end of Santa Monica Boulevard were blown off from explosions in the underground electrical vaults. Flames shot 15 feet into the air but noone was injured. The Santa Monica Fire Department did need to rescue about 40 people stuck in elevators.

The explosions and resulting power outages caused the Santa Monica based business, MySpace.com to go dark 5:40PM Saturday afternoon. It was several hours before power was restored and some areas in Santa Monica were still without power on Sunday.

More than 50,000 homes and businesses in the DWP coverage areas in the San Fernando Valley and Metropolitan Los Angeles neighborhoods of Boyle Heights, Brentwood, Eagle Rock and more suffered power outages on Saturday. Many areas still are not restored on Sunday.

Southern California Edison lost power to more than 145,000 customers over the last 24 hours. Some customers in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties are still without power on Sunday.

Saturday's electric use set a new record surpassing the record set just last weekend. The unrelenting heat wave is putting too much stress on the equipment that delivers power to homes and businesses and causing the power grid to overload. City officials are everyone to conserve power by not using appliances in the afternoon and using fans instead of air conditioners when possible.
