Your mom is just worried about you. Tell her everything I just said, because that's exactly what my little sister told my mom and my mom gave in. (which my sister was going to get one weather our mom approved or not.) but I know you would rather be able to open myspace in frount of your mom insted of always hiding it... and having to wait untill she leaves the room to go on it.
