Because he has no idea WHAT he wants to do. I'm guessing there were at least some kinda bad feelings after the breakup (not horrible, just not happy.) He may want you in his life somehow, but he's still hurt, so he can't decide what to do, and until then he won't say one way or the other.
That, and he wants to keep you guessing. Don't play that game, and go do something else till he makes up his mind.

Of course, to keep you guessing, and lingering on. And he has succeeded. Score one for him. But, do yourself a favor, ignore him. Like, post up things like, is enjoying life and all that it has to offer, and then as your mood, put blessed. This is true, and also, he will see this and will be thinking, dang, why isn't she posting a status pertaining to me? Keep them on their toes. And just a personal update for you, MySpace is drama waiting to happen. Trust me...I had a page up there too...and everyone in my town is really getting under my skin about what i had posted up there. So be careful.

maybe he is doing it cos he doesn't want to act immature by denying you but then doesn't want to approve you. Also if he Denys then you can't re add him!
