tell them that you would only add your friends, not random people.. that you would make your page private so that only your friends could see. and that they can have your password so that they can see that you aren't doing anything wrong. once they realize that you aren't, they will stop checking it.

well for the Myspace just say all my friends have one and if that does not work just say you would keep it on privet and would only let pple onur page and just stuff like that, thats how i could get one that u knoe and for the imvu idk cuz i think its a waist of time srry but all the pple on there are **** heads (WOW THAT WAZ A LOT OF WRITING) hope that helped

My little sister went through the same thing with our mom. My little sister was 13 when she talked our mom into letting her get a myspace. See most parents have to realize that myspace, facebook, etc. Are "the thing" these days. Pretty much any kid has one... I know what your going through, you feel left out. How my little sister talked our mom into getting one was she explained to her house safe it was... You can make your profile privet to where no one can view it but you and people who are on your friends list. When you sign up, you can take your area code out... That way you can stop sexual predators from browsing you by looking for girls in a pacific area around them... Put a different last name... You can pretty much pull up any myspace by typing in the serch box... Like for example "Kayla Smith." Once someone knows your last name, they can pretty much stalk you. Your mom is just worried about you. Tell her everything I just said, because that's exactly what my little sister told my mom and my mom gave in. (which my sister was going to get one weather our mom approved or not.) but I know you would rather be able to open myspace in frount of your mom insted of always hiding it... and having to wait untill she leaves the room to go on it.

Just tell her everything I said... The harder you make it for them sexual predators... or any weirdo, they more and likely will give up. Think about it, theres so many stupid kids who post personal information like where they live,last name, phone number etc. (really sad to say.) That why would they try sohard to getting to you when you nearly made it impossible for them when they could go after one of them other stupid kids. You know how many profiles I came across that had to much personal information? Way to much to count. Just be careful.

I can't help you out about IMVU, sorry... Because I haven't messed with that in about 2yrs.
