Myspace taking the responsibility that parents should?

I have heard stories about how kids are committing suicide because people over myspace make them feel like ****, kids being 'influenced' to things that parents wouldn't want them to see and just also how parent's have so many things against Myspace.

Do you think its really right for myspace to get the *** end of all this? I am tired of hearing how kids get allowed onto internet and yet they abuse themselves over it and the parents blame the internet when they actually gave their kids the permission to get on

It's just like when McDonalds got sued for Child Obesity

Myspace taking the responsibility that parents should?

if you just talk to people you know and keep your profile private it's fine. it's there own fault really

Myspace taking the responsibility that parents should?

i agree with you, i mean if the child is like 16 or 17 years old, they are just going to sneak behind their backs, parents cant follow them EVERYWHERE. but for the most part your right, the parents should take more responsibility. i mean i know my parents don't care about my myspace at all what so ever, but thats because they know that im mature enough to not care what other people are saying about me if i was getting nasty messages like that or something. but some kids arnt that mature obviously and yes the parents should know how mature their kids are and should know how to watch their own kids.
